Part Time AP/AR Administrator
Delta Cosworth has an exciting new part time role available withing its Finance Team for a very capable AP/AR Administrator based at its Silverstone premises.
Job Description:
Delta Cosworth is expanding its finance team and now requires an extremely competent and dedicated AP/AR Administrator to be based at the Silverstone circuit. This is a flexible part time role that comes with a competitive salary and benefits.
The Role:
- Manage AP/AR functions within Delta Cosworth and Group ledgers as well as providing cover within the department as required
- Manage workload within the department to meet business needs
- Manage key accounts for the business on both AP and AR
- Compile and maintain verified accounts payable records, reconcile statements and issue payments to vendors.
- Prepare accounts payable checks.
- Post all open items in accounts payable on a daily basis.
- Improve cash flow and AP/AR Ledger profile
- Prepare necessary AP reports and maintain AP files.
- Reconcile statements and the ledger making sure that payments are consistent with schedules.
- Communicate with the Group Financial Controller on any areas of risk for bad debts.
- Communicate cash requirements for payable dates to the Group Financial Controller.
- Deal with vendor and customer enquiries.
- Maintain GRIR account with management accountants
- Reduce debit balances on the purchase ledger
- Reconcile bank balances on a daily basis.
- Complete month end bank reconciliations
- Prepare ad hoc analysis of AP/AR as required.
- Prepare audit schedules as required
- Liaise with auditors as required during interim and annual audits
- Ensure customer payments are received in accordance with account terms and work towards achieving the company objectives and targets on DSO
- Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
- Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.
- Part time hybrid working will be considered after probation period.
Candidate Profile:
- Execute basic and intermediate functions within SAP software.
- Create/update Microsoft Excel files.
- Have experience in high-volume, fast-paced AP/AR environments in which daily performance expectations are assigned and measured.
- Have a strong concentration on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Have the ability to communicate and work effectively with finance and non finance teams , vendors and internal/external customers.
- Have the ability to effectively prioritize workloads and maintain an organized workspace.
- Have a willingness to take ownership and responsibility for team objectives.
- Have the initiative to obtain a sufficient working knowledge of all department procedures and related software applications.
- Have the ability to reliably commit to consistent attendance during specified work hours.
- AAT or other accountancy qualifications will be of advantage
