Job Description: 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to support our Finance team as a Financial Accountant. The role is based within our Cambridge office and reports into the Group Financial Controller.

The Role:

• Management of Group Consolidation models for review by Group FC:
  • Flash / Actuals / Forecasts / Budgets and Plan.
  • Project - Improvement to the models to add dynamic dimension and scale down links to Divisional analysis.
  • Addition of detailed Revenue / Gross Margin analysis.
  • Dash Board tabs.
  • Sensitivity analysis (volume changes / FX rate changes /other).

• Management accounts responsibility for Cosworth Group Holdings Limited.
  • Flash / Actuals / Forecast / Budgets and Plans.
• Consolidation responsibility of Cosworth LLC.
  • Flash / Actuals / Forecast / Budgets and Plans.
    

• Timely completion / submission of Group KPIs and review of Divisional KPIs.
• Investment appraisal / DCF analysis - Business unit support as required.
• Audit support as required including preparation of Consolidated notes for Group IFRS accounts and CGHL as a legal entity.
• Assistance to Group FC with:
  • Weekly Cash Flow preparation.
    • Forex management / hedging reporting.
  • Weekly Outlook preparation.
  • Information for UK and US Tax returns.
• Project – Review and update Group Accounting Manual for final review by Group FC.
• Project - Lead the review and update Financial Reporting Procedures.
• Insurance information for annual renewal - leasing with all business units to put together data sheets based on next years' budget or draft budget.
• VAT reporting for the group.
  
  • Ad hoc reporting.
• Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
• Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.

Candidate Profile: 

• CIMA/ACCA or ACA qualified with demonstrable Post Qualified Experience.
• You will have a background within a Group consolidation environment.
• Experience of listed company reporting.
• Experienced in consolidation and year end accounts preparation under IFRS (US GAAP knowledge will be of advantage).
• Proactive to new opportunities and challenges.
• Strong communicator to both finance and non-finance colleagues.
• Committed to working to tight deadlines where deliverables from Divisions are critical to meeting those deadlines.
• Committed to driving completion of tasks and projects.
