Job Description:  

Our electrical assembly team at Silverstone is expanding and is looking for a highly motivated individual with experience in building wiring looms and harnesses for motorsport and automotive applications.

The Role: 

  • Build wiring looms and harnesses from electrical schematics and harness drawings
  • Harness build techniques:
    • Automotive wiring harnesses using Round-it, conduit systems and automotive wire.
    • Motorsport wiring harnesses using industry standard sealed System 25 and Contra-helical lays.
  • PCB assembly
  • Communicate issues or updates required to Electrical Engineering team
  • Harness inspection and testing
  • Test box assembly
  • Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
  • Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.

Candidate Profile: 

  • PC literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Basic mechanical fitting and assembly skills
  • Ability to work equally well unsupervised or as part of a team
  • Self motivated with good written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to learn new disciplines and expand skill set
  • Knowledge of:
    • HV cable assemblies and HV systems
    • Electric vehicle powertrain architecture advantageous
