Job Description: 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Production Planner.  The role is based within our Silverstone offices and reports into the Head of Operations.  

The Role: 

• Create and manage Planned and Production Orders.
• Liaise with BOM Coordinator to create all routings and ensure all necessary assembly levels on BOM’s for production.
• Work alongside purchasing team to ensure material demands are met to deliver projects on time.
• Produce Production Order Tasks on tracker system.
• Communicate incoming shortages to stores critical to Projects.
• Liaise with Finance on material/BOM costs.
• Ensure materials issued correctly to Production Orders.
• Technically Complete Production Orders in SAP.
• Report planning/timing issues to Project management and Operations teams.
• Understand QC requirements for projects and communicate with Head of Quality
• Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities
• Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.

Candidate Profile: 

• Good knowledge of SAP
• Fully proficient with MRP, scheduling and planning
• Have an understanding of different manufacturing methods and part lead times
• Effective communication skills and a good team player
