We are looking for a Commercial Accountant to work closely with the Performance Electronics team to provide value and finance support across the organisation.
We are looking for a Commercial Accountant to support Performance Electronics with analysis and financial data for forecasting, commercial tenders, measurement of cost and performance to target to support informed decision making and delivery of business performance. You will be working closely with the Performance Electronics team to provide value and finance support across the organisation.
Support the commercial team with the completion of detailed 5-year sales and cost plans in coordination with budget holders to drive efficient and accurate business plans and budgets within set deadlines.
Support business plans during planning, implementation and review, ensuring costing and assumptions are adequately and constructively challenged.
Support the commercial team on managing existing contracts and quoting for new contracts.
Support with analysis of cost base to improve efficiency and monitor delivery of targets. Deliver accurate business review information and reporting, and highlight any significant issues with financial and other business results to enable informed decision making by the business area.
Produce and report weekly forecasts and KPI’s to provide up to date information to the senior team on divisional performance, highlighting issues as early as possible and supporting corrective measures where appropriate. Including analysis of sensitivities and scenarios to identify trends and provide financial insight into risks and future opportunities.
Engage and influence wider business to support with financial understanding to allow for informed decision making and improve business performance.
Support the product costing process alongside Product Management, complete SAP transactions and resolve any issues on BOM’s, routings and standard costings.
Work closely with the Financial Accountant to implement accounting structures for new projects, customers and business initiatives to align actual and budget reporting to enable customer and product profitability reporting.
Support the Financial Controller on both annual and interim external audits, producing audit schedules and completing audit samples as required.
Support the Finance team and other departments in adhoc tasks and projects.
Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.
Strong interest or previous experience in automotive sector desirable.
Membership of a relevant accounting body (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent).
Ability to build strong relationships across different departments.
Proficient in analysing complex data to deliver clear analysis and variance reporting.
Attention to detail.
Experience of preparing and maintaining forecast and annual budget files.
