Job Description

To aid the future growth of the business we are looking for a Head of Stores to add to our Operations team based in Silverstone.

This is an exciting and challenging role with ownership of a crucial business area during a time of change due to unprecedented growth.

The Role

Reporting to Head of Operations the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing, coaching, and developing a team to achieve outstanding results.
• Ensures all process and procedures are adhered to and all compliance is managed professionally.
• Set and implement goals and tasks to ensure the team are best placed to deliver an effective service and stock management.
• Manage regular and accurate stock counts including any required adjustments on SAP.
• Ensure Goods inwards receipt and accurate booking in of deliveries/stocks to the facility when required.
• Manage Goods Out movements and logistics.
• Ensure Goods packed correctly and shipped under correct ADR guidelines where applicable.
• Manage the accurate booking and management of components in the stores using SAP system.
• Housekeeping of the stores area to maintain a clean environment.
• Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
• Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.
• Undertake any other duties or activities reasonably requested in order to meet departmental or company goals.

Candidate Profile

Key Skills

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience in a manufacturing/engineering stores environment.
• Computer literacy required for stock booking transactions.
• Reliable timekeeping and attendance.
• Flexible attitude to working hours.
• Experienced in handling dangerous goods.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of SAP.
