Job Description:

Working within a precision engineering environment, you will be responsible for writing, developing and proving out measurement systems and programmes, as well hands on inspection using various tools from Mahr surface finish and form tracing equipment to micrometers and attribute gauges.

The Role:

• Leading onsite metrology investigations and supporting internal and external                 quality concerns as appropriate.
• Completing internal measuring requests and reports.
• Suggesting and supporting corrective actions and measures all with the aim of             improved product accuracy and compliance.
• Providing support during NPI launch activities and conducting first and last article         inspections, initial sample inspection reports and control plans.

Candidate Profile:

• Awareness of aerospace quality requirements (AS9100, various ISO).
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  
• Experienced in base metrology (Measurement by First Principles).
• Fully conversant with reading engineering & manufacturing drawings.
• Sound knowledge of GD&T (standards ISO,ASME Y 14.5, JES 161).
• Sound knowledge in measurements system analysis (MSA).
• Hands on First Principle experience using all types of Measuring & Testing                     equipment, both contact, non-contact, analogue & digital.
• Able to support root cause analysis and implementation of problem-solving                   techniques.
• Good knowledge of Gauge R&R studies.
• Working knowledge on concessions, containment procedures, and traceability             techniques.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office tools: MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint,       MS Project.
• Proven track record in Metrology and CMM programming/measurement and as             such must have experience with Predominantly Zeiss Calypso 2014 and above.             And a comprehensive knowledge of GD&T.
