Lead Technician - Battery Systems

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced LEAD TECHNICIAN – BATTERY SYSTEMS reporting to Team Lead – Battery Systems and based at Silverstone Circuit.

Job Description: 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced LEAD TECHNICIAN – BATTERY SYSTEMS reporting to Team Lead – Battery Systems and based at Silverstone Circuit.

The Role: 

  • Leading HaV battery mechanical and electrical sub-assembly and pack builds to completion whilst adhering to Company safety rules.
  • Installation of PCB’s and electrical harnesses
  • Accurate recording of work done, including task tracking, build documentation and safety measurements taken.
  • Ensuring good workshop housekeeping (using 5S)
  • Reporting of any design, build or quality issues to Team Lead.
    • Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
    • Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.

    Candidate Profile: 

    • Ability to follow technical drawings, work instructions and SSOW.
    • Experience of battery module / pack assembly.
    • Basic level of electrical knowledge.
    • Good knowledge of HaV battery system components.
    • Experienced with the assembly of complex electro-mechanical components and sub-systems.
    • Experienced working with electrical components, PCBs, and wiring looms.
    • Basic PC literacy (Word / Excel)
    • Ideally, experience of working to HaV Safety Rules
