Job Description: 

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Manufacturing Team as a Senior Production Engineer. 

The Role: 

• Responsible for producing CNC Programs for 4 & 5 axis machines, and Multi Axis Turn-Mills using Siemens NX & Vericut.
• Responsible for producing CNC Grinding Programs for a variety of Grinding Machines.
• Manage New Part Introduction for short lead time Prototype & Production Projects.
• Create & define manufacturing routings & BOM using SAP ERP.
• Design fixtures & tooling for NPI Projects.
• Introduce new cutting technology to improve tool life & cycle time.
• Assist with implementation of departmental training & progression.
• Estimate production times and costs.
• Identify ways to reduce cost within the manufacturing processes.
• Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
• Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.

Candidate Profile:

•  Proven experience Machining/Programming complex components in the Automotive/Aerospace Industry.
• Experience of Siemens NX CAD/CAM system.
• Experience using Vericut Simulation Software.
• Use of SAP ERP systems desirable.
• Relevant Engineering Qualification achieved (HNC or higher).
• Thorough understanding of Machining/Cutting and Inspection techniques.
• Strong organisation and communication skills.
• Willing to be flexible to support where necessary.
